01/10/14 : To celebrate Navratri – Dandiya Raas for tiny tots of Nursery and their mothers. The children and their mothers had to come in traditional dress. The Best costume and Best Dance Jodi prize was also given. Also, all the students from Jr.Kg to XII came in traditional attire. They celebrated and played Dandiya & Garba. The event began with the Arti and student also witnessed ‘Raavan – Dahan’ on the school ground along with a small act on Ram-Sita , Lakshman & Hanuman.

02/10/14 : Gandhi Jayanti Celebration – International Non-Violence – The school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti which also marks the birth date of Shri.Lala Bahadur Shashtri. Dignitaries of Century Rayon, Shahad along with staff and students from Birla School, Kalyan were present for the occasion. The students presented a Bhajan Skit, Sarvadharma Prathana and speeches wherein teachers presented a bhajan.

08/10/14 : Inter House Competition – the following inter house competition were conducted on 8^th October’2014.

08/10/14 : Daan Utsav – Continuing the ongoing tradition of caring, sharing and giving back meaningfully to the society ‘Daan Utsav’ was celebrated. Students of Std.IX & X armed with broomsticks and maps, cleaned the school corridors and classes enthusiastically. The support staff were relieved from their duty for today. Staff also on their part brought home-made food to serve the supporting staff who were invited for lunch organised by the teachers.

08/10/14 TO 16/10/14 : Joy of Giving Week – was a great success. Students of std.IV & V were told to donate voluntarily colour boxes, drawing material, books etc as an effort to make the lines of the unfortunate more colourful and bright.

11/10/14 – Open Day – Parents were requested to attend the open day on 11^th October’14 according to a schedule given to them for the classes Nursery to II between 8:45am to 12:15 pm.

12/10/14 – Mindscape 2014 – Interschool Mental Health Festival was held on 12^th October’14. Many schools participated in the event organised by Dr.Fabian Almeida competitions like colouring Best out of waste, Jugal bandi, Antakshri, Face painting etc were conducted for the students, parents, teachers and supporting staff. A cartooning workshop was also conducted. All the participants were happy and enthusiastic to participate in competitions centred around different themes related to the ‘Mind’, its positivity and holistic growth. The program was hosted in the school itself between 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

12/10/14: The students of Std.XI of our school participated in the Government of India Drive of ‘Swacha Bharat Swacha Vidyalay’. 13 students staged a ‘Street Play’ – named ‘Nukad Natak’ on the open ground situated near Birla School. The play was directed and written by Mrs.Aruna Raut & Mrs.Baljeet Kaur and Mr.Bharat Bangar – our Birla School staff helped in the presentation. The play focused on the implementation of steps that need to be taken to keep ‘Kalyan’ clean. Banners and Slogan were hoarded. The Street play was a success. Thank you children !

13/10/14 : Adult Education Program – Our parents Dr.Navani, Dr.Ritu Balani & Dr.Riya Rochlani conducted an Adult Education program for the students of Std.VIII & IX. It focused on the changes a child undergoes during Adolescence period. The program also included a session focusing on the ‘Diet of students in this stage. Various Tips on Healthy eating Habits, Physical Exercise, Management of height and weight etc. the school whole heartedly thanks our doctor parents for their kind co-operation.

13/10/14 : Health & Hygeiene Awareness Program – An Interactive session for the ‘Mothers & Student Girls’ of Std.VI & VII was conducted by ‘Procter & Gamble’ organization on 13^th October’14. The program aimed at educating the adolescent girls of Std.VI & VII about right feminine hygiene practices to stay healthy.

15/10/14 : The following Inter House Competitions were conducted on 15^th October’14

16/10/14 : Lesson in the Dark – Mrs.Manju Singh started conducting sessions of ‘Lessons in the Dark’ from 16^th October’14 onwards. The session included a series of short movie clipping which were based on Life Skill topics. These skills are required to live our life fruitfully. Children who enrolled for the program were seen to enjoy the sessions to the fullest.

17/10/14 : Diwali Celebration – The festivals of lights was celebrated enthusiastically, colourful lanterns and lots of sweets along with ‘Dhanteras puja’ which also conducted. The environment was joyful and cheerful on 17^th October’14.

17/10/14 : Excursion – A picnic for classes IX & XII was organised to Essel – World and Waterkingdom on 17^th October’14. Students were provided lunch by the school. They were provided lunch by the school. The time was 7:30 am. Students thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

18/10/14 : Open Day – Parents were requested to attend the open day on 18^th October’14 according to a schedule given to them for the classes III to VIII & XI between 8:45am to 12:15 pm. Followed by a book fair hosted in the activity hall by ‘Yash Book Centre’
