Master Trainers’ Workshop for Secondary Science Teachers

This training was organized by CBSE at Lexicon International School, Pune on the 5th and 6th of January, 2017. The aim of the workshop was to enlighten the teachers to face the challenging areas in the subject of Science and also to improvise the teaching learning methodology. The training was attended by our Assistant V.P Mrs. Shahila Chandrashekar and she was chosen as the Master Trainer in Science to conduct further trainings by CBSE.

Life Skill-Problem Solving Technique Training

This training was organized by Macmillan, as an initiative to incorporate better life skill practices in the class. It was conducted by Dr. Jitendra Nagpal- MD,DND (Program Director of Expressions of India) on the 9th of January, 2017 at Marriot, Andheri. This was attended by the school counselors Ms. Neha Tiwari and Mrs. Sweta Pai.

Craft Competition

Craft competition was conducted on January 10, 2017, for Jr. KG and Sr. KG students. The presentation of the little ones was appreciated as they showcased their talent by making beautiful fancy facemasks by Sr. KG students and CD Craft by Jr. KG students.  Children were overwhelmed to see the final result of all their hard work which helped them to achieve a sense of accomplishment.

Personality Development workshop for students

 A person's personality is what helps him navigate through life. Our school organized a workshop on Personality Development and Stress Management for the students of IX and X on the 9th and 11th of January, 2017. The workshop was conducted by the expert Mr. Ramnath Dixit. 

Makar Sankranti

 Makar Sankranti was celebrated on January 13, 2017.  It is a very auspicious festival, and kite flying is a very imperative part of this festival. Children came dressed in ethnic attires.  Til laddoos were distributed while exchanging wishes “Tilgud ghya ani godh godh bola” with their friends and teachers.  Children relished the sweets and enjoyed activities like fork painting on the kite.  A fun-filled day enjoyed for both teachers and students.

P.L.A.N Leadership Conclave

PLAN is a programme by Shaping India Group which is specially designed for the leaders, to enrich their leadership skills. It was attended by our school Principal, Vice Principal and Asst. vice Principal on the 18th and 19th of January, 2017 at Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Thane.                          

Pet Day

Pet Day was celebrated on January 19, 2017.  Tiny Toddlers celebrated Pet Day by bringing along their pets to school.  Children were taught that they should not harm animals. They also learnt about how to take care of their pets.

English Language workshop was organized by Oxford University Press on 20th January at Jana Gana Mana School and College Dombivili. Mrs. Mala Pallani an expert in teaching English Language was the resource person. The workshop unfoleded the impoertance of listenting and speaking skills. The workshop was attended by our teacher Ms. Jyoti Moolya.

National Leaders’ Day

 Our endeavour as teachers is to develop a sense of belonging and respect in the children towards their country. For this reason, National Leaders’ Day was celebrated on January 25, 2017, by Sr. KG students in which the children had dressed up as their favourite leaders and spoke a few sentences about them, e.g., Bhagat Singh, Chatrapati Shivaji, Jhansi Ki Rani, etc. A feeling of patriotism reverberated through the corridors as children were seen waving the tricolor and rehearsed the slogans of our great leaders. 

Republic day was celebrated with great pomp and show. The guest of honour was the Co-ordinator, Mrs. Ramasundari P. The programme began at 9.30 am. with the hoisting of the flag which was followed by a magnificent march past. beautifully synchronising This was followed by a patriotic song which was presented by 200 students and a beautiful dance presentation displaying our national symbols. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the School Captain. Master Arihant Swaminathan. The event went live on Facebook and was appreciated by the parents and the stakeholders.

Pink Day 

Pink Day was celebrated on January 29, 2017. Children and teachers were dressed in different shades of pink. Children spoke a few lines about their favourite objects that they had brought and were very happy to share it with their friends.  Activities like handprint on frock and making an origami tulip flower were enjoyed by all of them.   

Star Acheiver

Devesh Chauhan participated in the Chinmaya International Geeta Chanting Competition on Bhagavad Geeta Chapter 15 and won the Third Prize. Congratulations…
